About This Place

King's Chef Chinese Food is a standout Chinese restaurant nestled in Mesa, Arizona, offering an authentic taste of classic Asian cuisine with a modern local twist. Located conveniently at 1863 N Stapley Dr #102, this charming eatery is a go-to for both dine-in and takeout, serving a diverse menu that caters to all palates.

Step inside and you're greeted by a clean, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the care put into each dish. The staff's warmth and attentiveness set a comfortable tone, perfect for casual lunches or relaxed dinners. Whether you crave comforting soups or bold stir-fries, King's Chef delivers on flavor and freshness every time.

The menu highlights range from beloved starters like the crisp and savory Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls to hearty options such as the flavorful Chicken Lo Mein and aromatic Vegetable Fried Rice. Soup lovers will appreciate the silky Egg Drop Soup and the tangy, invigorating Hot and Sour Soup, which perfectly awaken the senses.

One of the notable draws is their Royalty Special selections like Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken, each priced reasonably at $12.95, offering richly sauced, tender chicken that melts in your mouth. For those seeking a lighter, flavorful option, the HomeStyle Tofu presents a delicious harmony of fresh vegetables immersed in a fragrant garlic brown sauce.

The lunch specials, priced at an accessible $9.50, provide incredible value with dishes like Teriyaki Chicken, BBQ Pork Lo Mein, and an array of Egg Foo Young options, combining generous portions and vibrant flavors to fuel your day.

Customers repeatedly praise the freshness and generous serving sizes of the dishes. Steven W. Schultz Jr. notes the substantial portions, though he advises that the kitchen’s approach to spiciness might surprise those expecting milder fare, an honest tip for families dining with kids. James Wilder appreciates the clean environment and fresh taste, deeming the price worth the quality experience.

There is also a genuine sense of care from the attentive staff, highlighted by Kristi Michel, who remarks on their friendly service—even when an order mix-up occurs, the food remained delicious and satisfying. Randy Nolen’s love for the food shines through despite a small hiccup with an order, displaying that the flavors keep customers coming back.

For those eager to explore the menu deeper, Cressie Greenland recommends indulging in the House Special Mei Fun, a delightful medley of shrimp, chicken, beef, and pork, though she suggests customizing it with just chicken for an even more focused experience. Pairing that with the peppery kick of Black Pepper Beef and the tangy zest of General Tso’s Chicken offers a true flavor-packed adventure.

Whether you’re in the mood for a classic Mongolian Beef Lunch Special that’s just the right level of spicy or craving the succulent Coconut Shrimp with a touch of tropical sweetness, King’s Chef Chinese Food consistently provides a satisfying culinary journey. The added availability of customizable sides such as white, fried, or brown rice, and lo mein noodles ensures every meal can be tailored to your liking.

In essence, King's Chef Chinese Food offers a flavorful escape to China with every dish, crafted for those who value freshness, generous portions, and authentic tastes. It’s a hidden gem in Mesa’s dining scene that combines comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality for a memorable meal each time.

This was my first time to the place, even though I live not too far for the past many years. The food came in good size portions. We were a little disappointed in that the server did not advise us to order something spicy for a little kid after we asked if things were spicy. Other Chinese place it is not normally spicy, but here the Mongolian beef was spicy.

First time going. The experience was what I expected for a local eatery. Very clean, customer service was welcoming. The food, as you can see by the pictures, looked and tasted fresh and great. I recommend this place if you're in the area, and you don't want to cook. The price was a little on the high end, I can say it's worth it.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! I didn’t get what I ordered but didn’t realize it until I got home. It was good either way. Very fresh and hot.

I love this food! Excellent taste and quality. I'm have one complaint. I ordered 4 eggrolls and only got 2. I know things get busy and you forget. But I sure would've enjoyed those other 2 lol great food!

My friends told me about the new Chinese restaurant they’ve been ordering from so we made Friday night plans and ordered take out. The food was delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Ask for their red chili sauce if you want to more spice. In order: ▪House Special Mei Fun (shrimp, chicken, beef, and pork) *next time I would just order the chicken option ▪Black Pepper Beef ▪General Tso’s Chicken ▪Yu Shiang Chicken

Went in on Christmas night on a long shot, just craving something different.. place was slammed with orders coming in left and right. They were absolutely on the ball, great service, fast considering how busy, and the food was delicious and piping hot. I had the Szechuan chicken, eggs rolls, and crab puffs. Very very good and I will be back. Give this place a try I’m sure you will be pleased. No better litmus test for a restaurant than being the only place open and completely slammed. A+++
